Senatus
The Senate of Res Publica Romana is a body of experienced citizens advising the community and administration.
There are three classes of Senators: Patres (lifetime Senators), Magistrati (current curule magistrates have Senate membership if they aren’t Senators) and Conscripti (Senator trainee).
The Patres are ranked through seniority: Princeps Senatus (holder of the title), Censorius (former censores), Consularis (former consules), Praetorius (former praetores), Quaestorius (former Quaestores) and Privatus (not holding any elected magistrate position in the past).
Added to these titles there two honorary degrees: Pater Patriae (currently awarded to those who were establishing Res Publica Romana) and Corona Civica (civic crown, given for outstanding service for the Res Publica Romana).
